Complete Garage Makeover in Potomac, Maryland
This Potomac garage floor was coated with our epoxy/polyaspartic system as part of a complete garage makeover (garage enhancement). Our coatings process required 1.5 days to complete.
Two days later, the cabinetry and wall organizers were installed by a local garage storage company. This completed the garage makeover.
Our coatings were coupled with the Light Maple cabinetry and butcher block counter tops for the wall mounted cabinets. This setup makes for a very impressive view when driving into the garage. The Schulte organizer system is a heavy duty wall-mounted system that has many different organizers that lock onto the grids.
The decorative chip floor coating in this garage is comprised of:
- Base coat: 100% solids, pigmented epoxy with full broadcast of chips.
- Top coat: Clear polyaspartic with 46 grit aluminum oxide.
- System color: Dauphin 1/4'' decorative chip blend on camel.
How Does a Garage Makeover Work?
When a homeowner is looking at enhancing their entire garage, we work with our organizational partners to create a complete plan. All of our partners have our garage floor coatings samples, so they can design a complete garage makeover.
Our partners work with us to coordinate the timing for the garage coatings and the storage/organizational systems. This minimizes the time the garage is unavailable to the homeowner.
A garage makeover typically takes about four days to complete. By the time the storage systems are installed, the garage coatings have cured enough to allow full use of the garage, including car traffic and placement of refrigerators or freezers.
A complete garage makeover not only improves the visual appeal of the garage, but also increases the usability, safety, and resale value. For owners of townhouses, slab homes and older homes, a complete garage makeover can greatly enhance the home’s overall storage.
