Typical Garage Coatings Process

Step 1: We Prepare the Surface (Day 1)
Our installers will mechanically prepare your garage's concrete floor - the same way as our commercial and industrial customers.
Edges and small surfaces are prepared by our extensive array of hand-grinders. Concrete dust is captured with our special dust collection vacuums.
In some cases, we may take an extra day to repair your concrete before preparing it if extensive damage is present. Our team will let you know if this is necessary.

Step 2: We Repair the Surface (Day 1)
After surface grinding, our installers will fill any cracks with the appropriate epoxy or polyurea repair materials. In new pours, this is rare.
Any remaining surface contaminants are removed and surface damage (spalling, divots, or peeling) is repaired with industrial repair materials.

Step 3: We Coat the Surface (Day 1-2)
Our installers will apply our floor coatings using industry standard techniques perfected over our 20 years in business. The base coat is applied on day 1. Our crews will then return on day 2 to apply the top coat and traction additive.
Our floor coating systems utilize industrial grade materials applied at the proper film thickness, temperature ranges, and environmental conditions.
Edge work is completed by hand.
24 hours after the top coat is applied, the floor can be walked on.
After 48-72 hours, the floor can be driven on.
The entire installation typically takes only 1.5 days to complete.
