Annapolis Volvo Gets More Epoxy Coatings
Drive-thru areas resurfaced.
Write-Up and Delivery Areas Get Epoxy Coatings Makeover
In 2014, our Baltimore operations returned on two occasions to install more commercial epoxy coatings in the two drive-thru areas of Annapolis Volvo. These areas are used as the Admittance (Service Write-Up Area) and Delivery (Customer Pick-Up Area).
Since the staff at the dealership were already familiar with our commercial coatings, they already knew what they wanted for each of these 800+ square foot areas. When Dave showed up, it was basically to assist them with color selection. They selected our York decorative chip 1/4'' blend.
Another 1,600 Square Foot Facelift
Jason and his crews again used our planetary grinders to prepare each of the drive-thru areas (each was a little over 800 square feet). Using the metal bonded diamond tooling, they ground the concrete surface to a CSP 2 surface profile. All cracks and surface imperfections in the area were repaired using our epoxy crack fillers.
A self-priming coat of high solids, Camel pigmented epoxy was applied (10 MILS WFT) and broadcast to saturation with the York 1/4″ blend of acrylic chips. The following day, after scraping and vacuuming the excess chips, the crews applied our polyaspartic topcoat (9 MILS WFT) – the same used in our residential garage coatings. This clear, fast-curing polymer hardens so quickly that Annapolis Volvo returned the areas to service the very next day.
