Office and Hallway Coatings in Maryland
Commercial floor coatings project for Experimental Machine in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Experimental Machine Gets Epoxy Floor Coating
The concrete floor in this office was originally 2,000 square feet, consisting of numerous, separated pads. The floor had glues and mastic on much of the entire surface. STRONGHOLD FLOORS took the following steps to install these new epoxy coatings:
- All joints and cracks were chased out and then filled with thickened epoxies.
- Entire surface was diamond ground using our planetary grinders.
- Epoxy coatings were applied over a three day period (the layers are described below).
- System was allowed to cure over a three day period and then returned to service.
This decorative chip floor coating is comprised of:
- Base coat: 100% solids, pigmented medium gray epoxy with full broadcast of chips.
- Top coat: 100% solids, clear UV resistant epoxy with 46 grit aluminum oxide.
- System color: Kent 1/4″ decorative chips on medium gray.
This decorative chip epoxy coating system requires just normal maintenance by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing.
