Annapolis Garage Uses Popular Combination of Chips and Epoxy

The drive to this garage in Annapolis is beautiful. Situated on a forested outstretch of land surrounded on both sides by the Chesapeake Bay, this home is a boater or fisherman's paradise. The nearby docks offer an easy place to moor boats, while picnicking areas are within walking distance.

Given how many beaches and docks are close to this home, along with the many trails for biking, the homeowner needed to use their garage to store all their recreational equipment - especially during the winter season (see: Winterize Your Garage for tips on preparing your garage for the winter). The homeowner had already installed bike racks and other hooks to improve the usability of the space, but the old concrete was dull and uninviting. They needed a decorative chip, epoxy floor coating by STRONGHOLD FLOORS to complete the space - and, perhaps, inspire another garage makeover with even better storage solutions in the future.

System Information

This base coat of this decorative chip floor coating is comprised of Adams 1/4'' chip blend on medium gray epoxy. This combination of chips and coatings is one of our most commonly installed systems, as it works well in nearly every setting. The top coat is comprised of clear, polyaspartic polyurea with 46 grit aluminum added for traction.
