York Garage Transformed with a Floor Coating Featuring Red and Black
STRONGHOLD FLOORS coated this large garage in York, PA in the middle of March 2024. The home was a new construction in the Farmbrooke Meadows housing development just north of York. We also coated the model home of this development with our decorative chip coatings.
The homeowner chose our Loudoun blend of decorative chips on medium gray epoxy, meshing well with their gray walls. This blend isn't often chosen among homeowners when compared to our more common blends (such as Somerset or Adams). The homeowner clearly had a vision of transforming their garage into something more than a place to park their car, and STRONGHOLD FLOORS was happy to make their vision a reality.
Our Maryland crew completed the coatings in two days. On day one, the floor was prepared with our diamond grinders and base coated. On the second day, a clear, polyaspartic polyurea coating was applied (with 48 grit aluminum added for traction). Because the concrete was new, not much was needed in terms of repairs (aside from our typical preparation process).
