One-Car Garages in Townhomes Coated
This community of townhomes, located in Harrisburg, PA, is in the perfect spot. The community's scenic location allows it to avoid the noise and bustle of city while still being close to necessities such as grocery stores. Parks are also within walking distance, making the community a great option for families and pet owners.
Nearly all of the townhomes in this community feature a one-car garage as part of the home. Often times, renters are entering and leaving their home through the garage. Many people take care of their lawns and front doorways, but the garages are often ignored despite being used more often. A floor coating was just what these one-car garages needed.
STRONGHOLD FLOORS was called to coat the floors of two one-car garages in this community just before the 2024 New Year. The concrete in both of these garages had seen better days - much of it was stained with oil and other contaminants from decades of use - but lacked major cracking or spalling. The installation process took two days to complete both garages.
Both garages featured zip strips, a type of control joint used to control the cracking in the concrete slab. The Somerset blend of decorative chips on medium gray epoxy was used in both of these one-car garages (clear coated with polyaspartic polyurea).
