While STRONGHOLD FLOORS often works directly with homeowners when upgrading their garage floor with coatings, we also work with homebuilders to add value to their new constructions. A professionally installed, decorative chip floor coating can make a huge difference when selling a home, as our coatings provide aesthetics, durability, increased resale value, and protection to the concrete in the garage.
Seeing pictures and videos of our products often doesn’t compare to actually experiencing (and touching) the products and projects first hand. This is why our territory managers bring examples of our coatings for homeowners to see and choose the blend they want with confidence.
While the 2013 Parade of Homes event has come to a close, we’re still happy to share with you the pictures of our garage floor coatings from the homes entered in the event.
Parade of Homes Garage Floor Coatings #1
The first home’s garage that we coated was built by Roland Builder. This beautiful single-story garden home is located in the Orchard Glen community in Mechanicsburg, PA. The two car garage features our Berks blend of decorative chips.
Our relationship with Roland Builder began in 2005, when we were still a PremierGarage franchise. We first applied coatings to their 2005 Pennsylvania Parade of Homes entry in the Estates of Forest Hills. It wasn’t long before we were installing our coatings in the garages of several Roland family members.
Since that first year of working together, we’ve installed our epoxy floor coatings in the garages of at least one of the Roland Parade of Homes entries each year. Roland Builder also featured our garage coatings in their 2011 Home-A-Rama home, located in Mechanicsburg’s Winding Hills development.
Our garage coatings are featured in two other Roland Builder models this year (2013). One model is located in their Liberty Point subdivision and the second is in the Meadowview community, both in the Mechanicsburg area.

Parade of Homes Garage Floor Coatings #2
Our second garage floor coatings project for 2013’s Parade of Homes is featured in a model home by Carlson Construction. This beautiful two-story home is in the Hampden Summit community. The garage features one of our most popular decorative chip blends, Delaware hybrid. This blend was created by our staff and features three different sizes of chips to create a more naturally marbled appearance.
This three car garage started off with 52 linear feet of saw cuts (see: What if I Have a Joint?) which were filled with epoxy joint filler, making the floor coating seamless. The concrete step leading into the home is coated in the base color of the floor (the color of the epoxy under the chips, directly in contact with the concrete) to provide contrast to the main floor.
STRONGHOLD FLOORS has worked with many Carlson Construction homeowners in Camp Hill, Enola, and Mechanicsburg. Our shared customers’ homes are primarily located in the Floribunda and Hampden Summit developments.
