The winter holidays are an interesting time of year for the team at STRONGHOLD FLOORS. Every year, the garage floor coating side of our business slows down, as most homeowners in our service area are concentrating on the approaching holidays. Once November comes, we often wonder, “What we will be doing around the holidays?”
Each year, we receive some interesting flooring projects. While some are existing customers calling for an “outage” project, we sometimes get to help others to make their holidays brighter. Helping these organizations and individuals makes our holidays brighter too.
Hark! Here are the special projects this holiday season…
STAY Pet Resort
This facility, located in Hanover, Maryland, is an ultra-modern, exclusive pet resort that will soon serve the urban pet and traveling owner. The owner, Jodi, set up this 17,000 square foot facility to offer indoor doggy day care, luxury suites, and pet grooming.
The Maryland operations team assisted Jodi by installing a customized decorative chip floor system in all working areas of STAY Pet Resort. The reception area features a beautiful metallic epoxy floor. The Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg
This is our second holiday season to assist this wonderful organization. In conjunction with Michael L Martin Homes, our teams upgraded the floor finishes in three rooms this season: the library, computer room, and arts room. This continues a project that began more than a year ago to modernize and improve the facilities serving the youth of Harrisburg.
Earlier in 2012 and 2013, the Pennsylvania coatings teams had applied new decorative, epoxy coatings to the kitchen, main activity room, bathrooms, hallways, entryways, stairwell landings, shower rooms, locker rooms, and smaller activity rooms. See the details in the project profile.

Pack Pro Technologies
This Lancaster based company nearly had a Grinch moment this holiday season. A “move out” deadline was fast approaching when they finalized their move into High Associates’ Greenfield Corporate Center.
Pack Pro reached out to our Mechanicsburg office last minute to see if we could get new, solid-color epoxy coating in place for their 4,500 square foot production floor in time for their team to move all their heavy equipment by New Year’s Eve. With the help of some concrete grinding elves, Zach and his team were able to make this company’s spirits a lot brighter.
